The Millennium project is almost complete. This project involved interviewing both the users of low end appraisals and appraisers to see if a unified appraisal product should be created that relies solely on a regression analysis. The conclusion was “Yes”. We are currently programming a control panel that will coordinate AVT’s Regression+ with the USL Documenter to allow the appraiser to easily produce a complete USPAP compliant appraisal and report. This control panel is called “FUSION”.
The Regression+ can still be used independently, and the USL Documenter can still be used for all other appraisal assignments. But with Fusion (which will be free) these programs will behave as one unit. Appraisers may use this as an additional appraisal product in your appraisal practice.
I am offering a free series of Lessons on Regression analysis. It is a case studies course that will illustrate the strengths & weaknesses of regression analysis. Simply download the files associated with each lesson and do the lesson at your own pace. From the ‘Home page’ click ‘Regression’ under products and then click the ‘Go to Lessons’ link.
The 2010 edition of USL Documenter is here and we are offering a discount to our current USL users. If you do NOT receive an email from us with your discount code, please send an email to mmccullough@braunappraisal.com to request your coupon.
Updates to the new version include:
01. 2010 version is now compatible with 64-bit operating systems
02. In the USL Documenter Wizard, the form type “Appraisal Institute” has been changed to “General Purpose”
03. A “Help” button has been added to open the “Quick-Start Guide” from within the program
04. USL now addresses the following questions:
“Do you have any current or prospective interest in the subject property or parties involved?”
“Have you performed any services regarding the subject property within the three year period immediately preceding acceptance of the assignment, as an appraiser or in any other capacity?”
05. Built-in Spellcheck feature
06. Windows 7 Compliant
*The Appraising in the New Millennium book will not be included in the promotion. It is included in new USL purchases and is available as a stand alone product in our store.
